Client-Centered approach
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
Solution Focused Therapy (SFT)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Gottman perspective/lens
I will also integrate other therapeutic methods if it suits your needs, therapeutically.
In my years of practicing as a mental health professional, one of the insights that I have gained is that you (the client) are often able to identify your barriers for change as well as the solutions. The difficult part is taking action; this is where I believe a support person (like me) can be of the greatest benefit. This can be facilitated by a strong therapeutic relationship based on openness and trust, which I hope to develop in our work together.
My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and focused on meaningful change. I believe humour can be a valuable part of the therapeutic process when used appropriately, helping to build connection and perspective. Above all, I remain fascinated by the human condition and committed to lifelong learning, both for my own growth and to support my clients' success better.
As a husband and father of four children aged 11 to 16, I bring both professional expertise and personal experience to my work with couples, parents, and adolescents. I also have a lifelong connection to sports, having competed throughout my youth and early adulthood before transitioning into coaching—a role I continue to enjoy with my own children today.
